I finally did it. I made a Transformers cake. I like it, optimus prime it is. Was a little tricky but with loads of patience, he was formed. Hope Thariq liked it!

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is just around the corner. A time always to look forward to when I was young, an inflow of cash was greeted with open arms. But now that I am married. The tides has turned and now more outflow of cash than anything. But all in good fun!

I made a chinese new year cake over the weekend. Cherry blossoms are always pretty. A simple and yet elegant cake I thought.

Baby shower cupcakes

A friend's baby shower. I did not have time to do too much decoration but I like the classic swirls in pretty pastel baby colours. Hope they will like it tonight.

Chocolate Dots

A couple of months back I made some vanilla dots, need to get the pictures from Nadia. This is the chocolate version. Was deciding whether to put in a rich chocolate filling but decided against it. Instead, I used my trusty raspberry cream recipe and filled the chocolate choux pastry. They turned out really nice! Best of all, they are bite size!

chocolate tart

I successfully made a chocolate tart last week. Brought to the office and it was enjoyed by many. This is definitely a keeper. Warning : seriously decadent!

I did bake during christmas time for some friends. My christmas cakes:)

Dad's 60th Birthday

Dad's birthday was on the 1st of January. It was a fun and yet intimate event. Close friends, homecooked food and graet fellowship! Orange poppy seed at the bottom and butter on top. The cake was eaten in 2 days... .record time:)
