Over the weekend, I had lotsa fun baking different shaped cookies. I made a basic sugar cookie dough and some chocolate cookie dough which were then shaped into different shapes. Thank God for cookies cutters!

A request from a good friend of mind. Usually I make a whole cake and it is called "Orange Blossom" but the small ones are real cute.

"Thank You" Cookies

I seem to have moved away from pink for awhile and started loving blue and yellow these few days. I was asked to make some thank you cookies..... these were yummy butter cookies with a lemony icing on top. The royal icing gave it a nice crunch!

Coffee Dreams

I was asked to bake some vanilla cupcakes for a friend and I decided to experiment with making some coffee ones. This turned out to be nice for a tea time treat. I call it "Coffee Dreams" becuase of the dreamy cloud of whipped white chocolate ganache topped on top of the coffee butter cupcake. The ganache turned out light and fluffy. The cupcake is topped with some cookie crumbs to add character to it. I like it!

Blueberry Muffins

My sis recently sent me a new blog filled with tempting recipes. The best way to find out whether the pictures posted on the blog are as good as it looks is to try out the recipes. I tried out the simplest of the lot, blueberry muffins. The taste was superb, only thing I need to make them a little higher. Drizzled some white chocolate on top. They were yummy....fresh blueberries bursting with flavour!

I have got an order for a wedding cake this weekend. A fun yellow one ( a nice change from pink:)) This is the upper level in progress. Am excited to see the finished product.

Panda Bear

Whimsical Chocolate Cake

It's been awhile since I last updated to blog....... have been busy with work and more work. Anyways, here's a cake I made for a little girl who wanted butterflies on her cake. Since she wanted a chocolate cake, this was the design I could come up with.

Experimenting with Design

I have not been feeling too well the past few days. In order to take my mind off the cough and cold, I decided to occupy my mind with some designs for cakes. :) These were not perfectly square as I had to stack the layers of thin styrofoam to achieve the desired height. I later discovered that there is such a thing as a styrofoam cutter to ease the cutting process....

Fresh Lemon Cake

I made this cake yesterday but I forgot to take a nice picture of it before it was devoured. It was indeed a very nice cake, light, lemony and fresh! many gave good reviews and it shall be added into my cake list.

Attempts at flowers

So what did I do with the additional purple buttercream? hmmm tried my hand at piping flowers. I think I do need more practice on this but collectively, the cupcakes look pretty attractive, I think....
