Andrew & Jessey's wedding
It was a beautiful wedding this morning. Apart from helping my friends co-ordinate their wedding which I must say went well, I baked the cake too. The brown and pink theme was fantastic to work with! All the best to you guys!
More pictures to follow, it has been tremendously difficult to load pictures these days.

Stars!
chocolate chunk pecan cookies
It's a holiday today! nothing beats spending a relaxing morning baking batches of chocolate chunk pecan cookies, filling the house with its sweet aroma. who can resist? the batter is filled with chocolate chunks which I got from my last trip to Singapore and loaded with pecans. That's the best thing about baking them yourself.

Smiley
Smileys have survived through the generations well at least to the next generation. One of my friend was celebrating her son's one year birthday........ the request, a colourful cake with smiley and stars. Well there were a number of other requests but could not fit them all in for fear of cluttering the cake too much:)
the number "1" can be improved.
Happy birthday Christopher!

BALLERINAS
A request for a double layered cake with ballerinas on it for a little girl's birthday. I absolutely love this cake! The moulding of the ballerinas were done in advance and the cake assembled last night. The cupcakes were a variation of "cupcake fun" to match the tiered cake. Happy Birthday Adrianna!

Young at heart
Last night, I baked some cupcakes and usually when I am left to my own creativity, for nights I will be thinking of colours and design. Last night as I set on my baker's chair, I decided to try something a little different. I think this cupcake turned out nice. Very cute.... very sweet. A design that would fit comfortably with hello kitty.

Cookies season
Moist Chocolate Cake
I was going through my blog and realised that I do not have pictures of my signature cakes. I will get down to it one day to have a tag that links to my signature cakes i.e cakes that are "undecorated" for a certain request. This is my mum's recipe, a really moist chocolate cake with a light ganache like topping. I consider myself lucky to be able to inherit a recipe that my mum has tried and tested many times. THanks Mum!!
This chocolate cake is a large cake ( 13 inches) thus the many strawberries.
