Sweet Sixteen

Really nice cupcakes for a 16 year old's birthday. The stand pictures were done in a rush in the morning. If I had more time would have added some coloured tissue paper to jazz it up a bit more. Hope she likes it.

Melissa

Don't ask me about the name of this post. First thing that came to mind, first thing to put down. This was a last minute order from a friend. Butter Blackcurrant cupcakes.

Nic and Nat

One day when I am free I will definitely try to rework my blog so that it is easier to manouver around it. As there as so many posts, some old cakes tend to get lost in the posts.

I have not made this cake in awhile, this is a version ofthe "crazy cake" but colours that are not as loud. This is a nice version for kids' birthday party.

Lemonee

As you probably noticed, I have been going through a "tart/pie" phase. Have purchased quite a number of books to learn more about this heartwarming dish. I was asked to make an apple tart yesterday night and I thought while I am at it might as well try out a new recipe. Some of my friends have been pestering me to make a lemon tart. I tried and this turned out fantastic! Definitely wakes up the senses. The sourness from the lemon definitely is an acquired taste but if you are a lemon fan, this is a must try. Delicious!

Cream Cheese Chiffon!

Yes the day I arrived back from Krabi I realised how much I missed baking. It was a good holiday but sometimes I work well with routines. First time at a cream cheese chiffon and this turned out fantastic! the day I brought it to work, I had some request for this cake. An extremely cloud like cake, very light with a tinge of cheese. Perfect for the kids, perfect for tea!

Although I have tagged this under "cheesecakes". this really isn't a cheesecake.... just because it has cheese

Orange Cream Cheese Pie

Experimented with an Orange Cream Cheese Pie. It turned out well, tasted much like a cheesecake with a pastry crust. Yums! Perfect for cheese lovers...

Banana Tart

An experimental recipe from one of my cookbooks. Although the orginal recipe called for rum, I decided to omit it at this point to see how it would taste with vanilla instead. Hope this taste nice. Some preliminary pictures.

Cupcake Love

Every once in awhile I get thinking whether I should just standardise the types and design of cupcakes that I offer but I always find reason to justify not to. I enjoy creating new designs, I do enjoy being given a free hand and trying out new designs and ideas as opposed to just sticking to just a few sets. Although it will be easier for both client and me but I think I will still stick to going with the flow.

Cupcake cupcake

Extra cupcakes that served as the canvas for some cupcake drawing. Not bad lah.

Lipstick Jungle and travel bug

Cupcakes I made for a friend's parents birthday. One loves shoes, handbags, bling bling and the other loves cooking and travelling. It was pretty last minute but I was satisfied with the end result. The contrast was meant to be.

Chocolate Meringue Pie - a dissapointment

This was a recipe I found over the net and thought it interesting enough a chocolate pie with meringue. The visual effect of the pie was fantastic. In fact I am simply loading the pictures and writing this post merely because the pie looks so tempting and indulgent. It was in a sense indulgent because it was so so so rich. The chocolate layer was too rich and thick. The meringue layer was nice but it did not have any value add to the pie. Anyway, I decided that I will rework this recipe, make some changes so it will have both the visual effect and taste value.

All American Apple Pie II

I made these again and this time I packed in about 8 apples in the pie. It brought tremendous joy to me when I was piling on the apple wedges. Much better that the pie is domed and packed filled with apples.

Mr & Mrs Pereira

A cupcake tree I made over the weekend for a wedding. Colour theme was baby blue and apple green. The couple wanted some ferns to be placed on the tiers. I had taken pictures of the cupcake tree both with and without the ferns. Was incredibly satisfied with the way the cupcakes turned out. Love them!

Shireen's cupcakes

Am feeling not too creative today to think of a name for these beautiful cupcakes my friend ordered for a wedding. Will just settle for "Shireen's cupcakes" then.
