Agar - Agar

Every now and then I get a craving for basic pandan santan agar-agar. I found a number of recipes online on a number of variations of agar-agar. Decided to go simple and try the rainbow one first. I think these turned out beautifully - after the 3rd attempt. The consistency can be further improved but at least it is not watery like the first time I made these.

Hantaran - blue and white

I was given free hand with this one and I had an idea to do something simple and elegant for this hantaran cake. Blue and white was the theme and I hope the bride liked it.

the Garden

I had only 24 hours to make this cake. So it was like go home, bake the cake, make sure it cools by the morning, and early the next morning, am up early to finish the icing for this cake. I have been inspired by this cake decorater called Amanda Way in Melbourne. This cake is a reflection of that. I love the way her flowers decorate the cake so beautifully. Simple piping designs and yet so whimsical. Unfortunately I have tried googling and she does not seem to have a website.

Anyways this still can be improved but I do love the structured messiness to this cake.

Minis

Mini butter cupcakes for Teachers' Day today too. Perfect for a party, bright, cheery and just enough to satisfy the sweet tooth.

Peach Blueberry Tart for the office

Wondering why I did not take Monday off since it is a public holiday tomorrow. Baked this for the office today, anything to make it better. Tasty but could be further improved.

Cars themed birthday cake - the fierce one

I was asked to make this fierce Cars character. something Dragon. I think it looks fierce enough. Anyways, Happy Birthday Kieren!

Alexandria's Cake

A cake inspired by cinderella, a butter chocolate chip cake with blue icing. Please do note that buttercream with strong colours will stain at least your tongue. This is actually one of my favourites, beautiful she is. Hope little Alexandria liked it!
