It was so much fun making this cake. My friends Ray and Skye got married on Saturday and they had yellow, white and black as their theme colours. It was a great opportunity to use black to accent a wedding cake. Gives it so much character. Congrats you guys! waiting for more pics of your wedding!

Hantaran

I had a request for a "hantaran cake" of sorts for an engagement. Purple and white was the theme. I absolutely love this double layered cake. I also made some cupcakes to accompany the cake.

My uni friends from Mauritius and Sri Lanka are here in Malaysia visiting and doing some mad shopping. I made these cupcakes for them. Managed to get some pictures of them devouring the cupcakes.

Pretty Bouquet

Another chance at making a cupcake bouquet. This "arrangement" was very pretty. Made in white, it would be lovely for a wedding too.

Teddy

My friend's daughter, Elizabeth celebrated her 1st birthday on Saturday. This is another two tier cake made for her birthday party. The bottom tier is a moist chocolate cake and the top tier is rich butter.

GIRLS

Last week I had the opportunity to bake a two tier birthday cake for twin girls. Work started at least one week before with the moulding of the girls. I had a lot of fun and I hope the birthday girls liked the cake

Wedding cupcakes ~ Black and White

I love it when I get an opportunity to do up a wedding cake / cupcakes with black accents. I think they are not only pretty and different but very chic. This priviledge was given to me over the past weekend. The couple wanted a black and white cupcake tree. Incidentally I had also purchased a new embosser which I was dying to try out. This came out very nice. A 100 cupcakes, each cupcake was unique on its own.

Can-can

This cake reminds me of can-can dancers with feathers at the top of their heads. I made this for a good friend's birthday, yes, another one for Venee. Since I was not given any specification and since she is such a crazy person, decided to go with a new design. I hope she enjoyed the cake as much as I enjoyed making it:)

A couple of months back, I made a cake which I call "Claire's Garden". This time I made one of similar design but of different colours and I am calling it "Alicia's Garden". A garden-y cake.

I was given the priviledge of baking the wedding cake for a friend of mine. She had given me a picture of what she wanted her wedding cake to be. I love how simple and yet charming cake this cake turned out to be. Love it!

Yes this is the ultimate in cupcake-dom. My younger sister got me this gigantic cupcake mould from the US and finally I got a chance to bake this. A butter blackcurrant cake for a friend's birthday. Although it looks like the top of the cupcake is filled with just buttercream, it is not. It is actually cake underneath with just a topping of buttercream. A very clever mould it is. perfect for a large crowd, fitting for those who like buttercream and for those who don't. Happy Birthday Venee!

New! Apple Crumble Slice

I tried out a new recipe, it was meant to be an apple crumble pie but it turned out more like a slice than a pie. Nevertheless, it was brilliant! for the first time, the crumble was devoured before lunch by my colleagues. I too loved it! definitely for keeps. Manage to get a quick picture of the slice. yums....

New Cupcake Tree

I finally decided to indulge in a 6-tier cupcake tree and this is the first time I am using it. I had only made use of 4 tiers here which fitted 50 cupcakes snugly. The cupcakes were for a black and red themed birthday party.

Tai Tai

I absolutely love these cupcakes. I made it for a friend's housewarming. It was one of those days when I felt like trying out new piping techniques. I like how each cupcake has its own character. Sometimes a little individuality is welcomed.

A friend of mine celebrated his birthday over the weekend with a bbq at his condominium. Made this butter cake for him. The kids were kept occupied with the stars but I reckon the parents had a hard time putting them to sleep that night.
