Cupcake Bouquet

I finally got round to making a cupcake bouquet. After a few trial and error, I manage to get it right. Although during transportation, some parts of the cream got squashed. Still have to device a way of transporting the bouquet. Anyways, these are the pics of the 2 bouquets I made for 2 colleague's birthday. I love them! Great for birthdays, anniversaries or whatever reason anyone wants to send an edible bouquet:)

In my wishlist..... I have been looking for these cake stands for the longest time but can't find them anywhere here in Malaysia *sigh* anyone has any idea where is the nearest place I can get these or something similar to these? Amazon don't even deliver these to this part of the world. I tried...

Whimsical Cake

Nadia's usual bunch of happening friends were celebrating 2 birthdays and they wanted a whimsical cake with the colours purple and red. I had loads of fun with this one.

Juey, this is for you!

A friend of mine who has migrated to Gold Coast, Australia requested a cake for her father's birthday. Was touched that she thought of me to bake this cake even when she is over there. Thanks a lot Juey and as promised, this is a picture of the cake:) Apologies for the lighting.

Sani's birthday cake

First and foremost, I would like to apologise to anyone who may be offended by this cake. A request for a "funky" cake for a friend's birthday. It was indeed a good laugh! All in the name of fun!

Teddy Birthday Cake

I was commissioned to bake a colourful, teddy bear cake. There were certain ideas flashed out to me and this was the end result.. colourful and fun!

Marathon!

I was pretty last minute notice to bake a cake for a friend. Plenty of sports related cakes these days, this one is for a guy who takes parts in marathons. I tried my best to create sneaker prints. Not too bad lah......

Golf

My friend's dad is an avid golfer and what other cakes to make for him except for a golf themed cake. It turned out as how I imagined it to be.

Spice Cake

I changed the name of this cake slightly from "Pain D'epice" which I think means Spice Bread. Hmmm anyway this cake texture is in between a cake and a bread. I made this to satisfy my off and on craving for cinnamon and sugar. I like this cake, subtle and perfect with tea. Thanks Nadia for the photos:)

My good friend's sister's birthday was celebrated also over the weekend. Made some "whimsical" cupcakes for her. I absolutely love this colour combination!

A Lilac and White Wedding

I made this banana walnut cake for delivery over the weekend. It was a wedding with a lilac and white theme. This turned out nice especially when put together with the wedding decor which had a nice gardeny feel. Congratulations Andy and Junnie!

Banana Friday!

I had some extra bananas at home and I bought a new silicone pan yesterday so I decided to make some "banana gems" yup those little ones and some cupcakes. Can never go wrong with banana and chocolate.

Ryan is 3!!

I had fun making this butter cake for my friend's son, Ryan's birthday celebration at school. She had given me some Thomas trains to be placed on the cake. I love how this turned out.

Football Fever

Another request for some cupcakes with Manchester United Jersey colours i.e red and white. I usually stay away from strong colours for my cakes but this was just fantastic! Love the red!

Cupcakes for 3

Over the weekend I was asked to bake some cupcakes to form a shape of number 3. A nice change from the usual whole cake in the shape of number 3.

Birthday Favours

I remembered when I was in kindergarten, it was the most exciting when on the night before my birthday, I will be helping my mum pack little goodie bags consisting of chocolate wafers, chickadee and lollipops to be handed out to my classmates at school. This is now done in a far more sophisticated way with parents planning in advance on the items to put into the goodie bag. I had a request for some mini cupcakes individually packed for a little girl's birthday at school. I love these little almost bubble-like packages with pink ribbons.

These were taken pretty late at night and the warm lighting did not help.

Chocolate Blackcurrant Muffins

I discovered this new recipe and thought I'd give it a try. These turned out tasty with an abundance of chocolate chips and blackcurrant in it. I had a good breakfast this morning.
