Handbag Cake - Coco Chanel
This was done in one day. Of course the cake was already baked but the decorating was done in one day. I had an additional cake and so happened a friend needed a birthday cake too. So was debating whether I had time to complete a handbag cake. This is my first attempt and I must say it looks pretty good. Of course given more time, more detail could be put into it.

Bangkok Kaya Cake
I got this recipe from this month's Flavours magazine. The same day I got the magazine, the same night I baked this. It turned out really nice especially when it is cold. Was wondering why the name "Kaya" when there is no "kaya" in the recipe. When I tasted it I realised why it was called "Kaya" because it did taste like eventhough the ingredients were not that of kaya. Ok enough confusion, a nice one to bake for a party.

"Thank you" cupcakes
Thanks God for extras, just in case disaster strikes which can be anytime. Well disaster struck last night when I was baking my last passionfruit chiffon to be delivered today and with full confidence I relied on my oven timer without checking the cake, well the chiffon cake collapsed on me as it was not fully cook within. Well thankfully, the cake was requested by a good friend not for a birthday. So I managed to use my additional cupcakes ( yes, baked and decorated in total about 5 orders last night) to make up for the chiffon. Am happy with it, hopefully the recipients like them too.

Chiffon Galore
Gula Melaka Chiffon- perfect!
Red Dragon Fruit chiffon - sliced
Red Dragon Fruit Chiffon
My hands were itching to try our numerous types of chiffon over the long holidays. I managed to make a banana chiffon, red dragon fruit chiffon and gula melaka chiffon. they turned out nice but am typing this before I have even tasted it. I had made 2 of the above chiffon previously and horror of horrors, they deflated, collapsed on me. Glad at least they held their shape this time.
The Red Dragon Fruit Chiffon yielded a nice pinkish toned batter but unfortunately, once baked there was only a slight tinge. Unique though. The texture of the gula melaka one was perfect!
The banana chiffon, always tasty. This I have tasted before:)
